Two Students participate in ASEAN-China STEM Camp for Youth Programme in Singapore

Ministry of Education through Science, Technology and Environment Partnership Centre (STEP Centre) has nominated two (02) sixth form students and a supervising Science teacher to participate in the ASEAN-China STEM Camp for Youth, in Singapore organised by the Ministry of Education, Singapore with NIE International Pte Ltd as a co-organiser, from 18th to 25th May 2019.
 
The objective of this programme is to provide exposure to the students while enhancing their understanding and interest in the field of Science and Technology. This is in line with the endeavour of the Ministry of Education, Brunei Darussalam in providing platform for students to apprehend the importance and development of Science and Technology in the effort to generate more young scientists in the country.
 
In addition, to allow interactions among students from the ASEAN countries and the People Republic of China, the students will visit the School of Science and Technology in Singapore to attend lectures on STEM topics and Inquiry-based Laboratory Lessons. They will also have the opportunity to perform hands-on science experiments such as producing a Night Light Product. Moreover, the six-day programme will cater the students in learning Singaporean culture, heritage and history through visits arranged by the organiser.
 
This program is in line the Ministry’s interest to expose the generation with the relevant skills to prepare for Industrial Revolution 4.0

Dua Pelajar mengikuti “Program ASEAN-China STEM Camp for Youth” di Singapura

Seramai ada (02) orang pelajar tempatan dari Pusat Tingkatan Enam dan seorang (01) guru pengawas telah berangkat ke Singapura pagi tadi untuk menyertai “Program ASEAN-China STEM Camp for Youth” yang dianjurkan / ditaja oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Singapura dengan usahasama NIE International Pte Ltd, mulai 18 hingga 25 Mei 2019 di Singapura.
 
Delegasi Negara Brunei Darussalam adalah terdiri daripada dua orang pelajar dari Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan, Nur Aqilah binti Haji Karim dan Mohammad Noor Aiman bin Haji Noor Aimee dan disertai oleh  Cikgu Dyg Edna Maria binti Haji Othman dari Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Othman.

Antara aktiviti yang diadakan nanti adalah menghadiri kuliah untuk membincangkan mengenai bidang yang berkaitan dengan STEM serta melaksanakan hands-on experiment bagi menghasilkan Night Light Product
